For the First Annual Sanya International Music Festival on the weekend of June 27-28, Fat Daddy’s - the main host and organizer of the event - presents a brand new concept in Sanya travel and entertainment. We have taken the initial idea of a beachfront music festival and expanded it into a much bigger, city-wide event, with a broad spectrum of local companies pulling together to provide exceptional value on food, drinks, hotel rooms and more activities than you can possibly cram into a tropical weekend away.

In the run-up to the main event – the beachfront musical performances on the evening of Sunday 28th – local companies are offering major discounts on activities as diverse as surfing, golf, wakeboarding, sailing, windsurfing, spear gun fishing, yachting, kite surfing, scuba diving, jet ski, massages, and even on the amazing Waboba Ball – the ball that bounces on water. We’re calling it a Tropical Mystery Tour, because the only person who knows where each visitor is going that weekend is the visitor himself or herself.

As part of the music festival package, each attendee receives an exclusive book of discount tokens. The tokens are valid all weekend, with pretty much complete freedom on which tokens to use and when to use them. So if it’s shooting a round of 18 in 65, dangling from a very large kite, or harpooning a whopper on a tropical reef, only the visitor decides. This way each visitor gets the benefits of group travel (because we all love a discount, especially in these straitened times) without the drawbacks – no coach, no queues, no lady with a yellow flag, and especially no interminably dull speeches from tour guides about the jade/pearls/worthless trinkets they get their commission on. It’s a group event but with all of the freedom and flexibility that you get with individual travel.

Amazing Discounts Over the Weekend of June 27-28 Include:

• A 55% discount on an 18-hole golfing package at the Luhuitou Golf Club. The all-in package, including green fees, caddy, cart, locker room and insurance, usually costs 1,775 yuan. Token holders get it for just 800 yuan.
